These bacon-wrapped green bean bundles are covered in a brown sugar, butter sauce and then baked until lightly crispy. You’re gonna love ’em. If you love green beans of course. And bacon. And really yummy things that involve butter.
For as long as I can remember, whenever anyone is having an event and asks if we can bring something, it’s usually this or The Best Baked Macaroni and Cheese Ever. If you’re looking for the perfect side to take to a friend’s house this is it. Going to a dinner, a potluck, Thanksgiving, or Christmas – look no further.
We’ve referred to these in all sorts of ways over the years: bundles, green bean roll-ups, call ’em whatever you want – they’re delicious!
I love the way our house smells while these things are cooking !
You legit just cut your bacon in half, put as many green beans as will fit, then roll ’em up. Repeat as many times as you have space for in your dish. I like to double the sauce just in case I decide to try and fit more in there.
Y’all, I posted this on my very first blog back in 2005, and the old pictures and “watermark” have me rolling. Good ‘ol ColorArmy days. I’ll have all of those old recipes back up here at some point. I know Mom would’ve loved to know people are enjoying the recipes she made us for years. Especially her baked potato soup that she always made us once the craziness of the holidays was over, while we snuggled up on the couch and binged Lord of the Rings as a fam.
