Cream Cheese
Name brand matters in this case. Slice it up to soften quicker.

Get regular 'ol plain, or spice it up with an everything bagel.

Butter
Slice your butter into 1/2 tablespoons to soften
Instructions
Cut your cream cheese and butter so they'll soften quicker
Cut your bagel in half
Heat your skillet on medium to medium high
Add butter to melt as it heats
Place your bagel halves face down into the butter and make sure you move them around to get melted butter on the entire surface
Use your spatula to "squish" your bagels down
Check them periodically and adjust the heat accordingly. We're going for a soft golden brown with mildly cripsy edges.
If your cream cheese isn't super soft, pop it in the microwave for ten seconds. That's usually more than enough to soften it.
Spread the cream cheese on each bagel half
Cut bagels in half for less messy consumption
